“You can be fully in charge of your life only if you can acknowledge the reality of your body, in all its visceral dimensions.”

-The Body Keeps the Score

When I wrote The Creator's Call, I spent two years studying every wisdom tradition I could find. Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Judaism—all of them.

As a guy who left the religion he grew up in, I had a bottomless curiosity for how other traditions answer life’s deepest questions.

I took their answers and compared them against my own life. But after I wrote the book I realized I missed something huge:

Purpose isn’t an answer you logically arrive at. It’s a feeling you experience in a life that you create. A full-body experience.

When I looked back and pictures of the times where I was the most stressed, feeling the most stuck, I was also the most out of shape.

If nothing changes until something changes the easiest place to have the most immediate results is in your body. Because after all, you may not be able to completely control if your business makes or loses money, if your boss is a dick, or if you suffer an unexpected loss, but you can control what you put in your mouth to nourish your body and what you do for exercise.

Principle: When you start feeling momentum in your body, it ignites the spark you need to generate momentum elsewhere.

Invitation:

If you’ve found yourself getting out of the groove and don’t know how to start moving your body again, I thought I’d give you the routine that I’ve been doing for more than a decade that is simple and brutally effective. If you are in The Cave you know we do this as a group to keep each other accountable, but I thought I’d give it to you for free as a way to keep you moving on your journey!

Until next time,
